Saturday 27th September 2003 saw the annual MiniWorld action day take place at Castle Combe race track in Somerset.

Gates opened at 9am and closed at 5pm where you could take your own mini out on the track, browse the many club stands and also get some bargains in the trade stand section and auto jumble area.

The weather was good throughout the day and the track remained dry and clean so a good few laps were put down in many different minis, from twin motorbike engined beasts to 850cc mk1's, everything was welcome on the track.  Was great fun to see so many minis bombing round the track.

Unfortunately they also had a non mini track session which saw some awful motors on the track, from a ‘on stilts' hand painted black nova to a Citroen Xsara estate! But it was good to see a chap in a Rover 216 go far to fast into the final corner on his opening lap and do a huge spin and slide sideways, much amusement and clapping at him followed!

A minor MiniResource meet took place, seeing sssstew, fluffiefaerie, skooter, kidkoala and randomnonsense all meet up and watch some of the action, skoot has an attempted group photo.

A tour of the car parks also bought up some lovely minis that had made the trip to the track but chose not to venture out, some pictures follow.  And roughly 55 cars were flyered with our double sided flyers courtesy of snotser.

Great day had by all, finally leaving at about 4:30pm.

My mini didn't come out of the garage but some bargains were bought for it, as fortunately the show is growing year by year and there were a good number of trade stands available.
