Mini: Austin mini clubman -73

Hi just wanted to show my mini here! Iam from sweden so my english not the best :)

i bought it last winter (2007) and then it had been standing still in a garage rusting away for many years..

Have been working on my mini for some time now it has been repainted and rust repaired... and serviced with new brake's and stuff. :angry

that was the boring work.. now the fun parts begins to get the little car moving faster and looking nicer! :P

Here are some pics of the cars progress over the last 12months..

when i bought it.
(IMG:http://200sx.kicks-ass.net/nattis/img45475b1ce0886.jpg)

battery was dead so a new one installed..
(IMG:http://200sx.kicks-ass.net/nattis/img454b7758cda40.jpg)

the carburattor was not working..

(IMG:http://200sx.kicks-ass.net/nattis/img454b775d37515.jpg)

the paint work of the car was terrible!!
(IMG:http://200sx.kicks-ass.net/nattis/img4596d053aa0cd-thumb.jpg)

and the inside was nasty as hell :)
(IMG:http://200sx.kicks-ass.net/nattis/img45475b19ea40c.jpg)

repainted in a nicer looking metalic light blue color. with white roof.
(IMG:http://200sx.kicks-ass.net/nattis/img4788e4deeae91.jpg)
rear...
(IMG:http://200sx.kicks-ass.net/nattis/img4788e4e677ca9.jpg)

inside with new floorcarpet and dashboard. just the sideof the doors and some new chairs and it will be much nicer :)
(IMG:http://200sx.kicks-ass.net/nattis/img4788e4eee73fa.jpg)

Thats were i am today!! The engine in the car is i bad condition and need to be rebuild or exchange for a better one.. Iam going to buy new rims and archers to make it look a little bit nicer.. and iam thinking of building a supercharged engine for it but i have not desided yet!

Well that all for now i update here later when spring comes to sweden! again :) now its snowy and cold :(

Nice but it looks like you put the steering-wheel on the wrong side when you put it back together ;) If you could repair the rust in 12 months it couldn't have been too bad to start with.

What year is it? From the square pedals, switches, ignition switch and single stalk I'd guess it's earlier than 1976.

That is an amazing Cutlass. I've never seen one before. I'm in awe.

Also, clubbys are excellent ;) Good luck with it. Can't wait to see it on some nice alloys and phat tyres.

then started sounding like a tractor. then even more smoke. then it died :P

so now my new engine gonna be put in. just waiting for my new diff and clutch and turbo oilpump to arrive. the turbo kit is on the way to. but iam gonna start with a hif44 with the new engine just to see that it is fine.. :)
